Musician Bio
Devin Falk is a singer/songwriter based out of Seattle, WA, where he has lived since 2016. Devin’s musical career began in 2010, where he and his band, Cheers to Serendipity, began performing in and around the Southern California area. His early musical influences could be found in the burgeoning jam band scene. Groups such as Phish, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers Band, Moe, String Cheese Incident, My Morning Jacket, and many others introduced Devin to an improvisational looseness and style that has greatly influenced his musical style. By his own admission, initially he was a bit green when it came to performing live, and would often find the darkest part of the stage to hide. But over time, he began to grow more comfortable in his skin as a musician, contributing both supporting and lead vocals on several songs.

In 2016, Devin would decide to relocate to Seattle, WA where he would quickly meet other dedicated musicians in the vibrant Seattle songwriter community. Here, he would be exposed to a variety of musical styles. From country to folk, fingerpicking to Delta blues, Devin began to absorb music with frightening voraciousness. His musical interests varied far and wide-- Talking Heads, John Prine, John Coltrane, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Elvis Costello, Jim Croce, Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, Paul Simon, Randy Newman, and the list went on and on.

Many of Devin's influences can be heard in his music. Whether it be songs rooted in the blues, or jazzier melodies, above all, he is a songwriter at heart, whose primary focus is on the song being the vehicle for the expression of a specific thought or emotion. His songs have often been described as poignant, honest, and heartfelt, driving to the inner most workings of the human condition by telling stories that address various universal topics in rich, colorful tones. Singing in a warm, resonant tenor chest voice that often effortlessly melds into his head voice, his songs evokes emotion and connection through a delicate nuanced delivery and attention to the finer details.
Devin currently performs acoustically in and throughout the greater Seattle area as a solo artist.
